Holly Wasserfall is a New Generation South African. Born in 1995, she has grown up a true child of this Rainbow Nation.

Music and the arts are at the core of family life for Holly who, aged 6, was inspired to start playing guitar by her uncle, Martin Wasserfall who plays classic guitar. When Holly was enrolled at a school in Nottingham Road, Kwazulu Natal, it was natural that she should study guitar with Martin’s teacher Leandros Stavros. He has helped develop her into a talented upcoming guitarist and encouraged her to explore her musical talent and take up percussion. She is now studying subject music at High School.

At 11, Holly wrote her first song. Her music is about personal experiences and her love of Africa. Her passions are family and friends, music and film and she writes from the heart about life and the world as she sees it. A family friend and Durban musician, Clifford Bryan has also been a wonderful influence and mentor for her song writing.

Holly has just released her first single, Siyabonga Madiba. It was recorded at Andiamo Recording in Durban. She is currently working to complete her debut album.

The inspiration for this album came from family friend Themba Khumalo of Ukhosi FM who believes that Holly’s music has a special message. The inspiration for Siyabonga Madiba came from the life she enjoys with the friends she has grown up with.

Holly’s musical style is Adult Contemporary with an Afro feel.
