Siyabonga Madiba by Holly Wasserfall

Holly Wasserfall is a New Generation South African. Born in 1995, she has grown up a true child of this Rainbow Nation.

Music and the arts are at the core of family life for Holly who, aged 6, was inspired to start playing guitar by her uncle, Martin Wasserfall who plays classic guitar. When Holly was enrolled at a school in Nottingham Road, Kwazulu Natal, it was natural that she should study guitar with Martin’s teacher Leandros Stavros. He has helped develop her into a talented upcoming guitarist and encouraged her to explore her musical talent and take up percussion. She is now studying subject music at High School.

Synthesis by Fran Czeska

Fran Czeska is a South African ‘bedroom’ musician born and raised in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. Growing up in Durbanville and attending Bellville High, Fran was a musical child who took to playing piano and singing into a hairbrush at an early age. With a strong foundation in classical music by the age of 14, Fran’s songwriting talents first surfaced in early high school when he co-wrote several cabaret-style songs with a friend, songs that were so cliche’d and cheesy that they will never see the light of day.

Songs Written Whilst Sitting by The Shamonix

Songs Written Whilst Sitting, the debut album by The Shamonix, is a retro-punk/rock styled album created with the intention of not being taken seriously. If you have taken any of it seriously then you are a prat and you should stop reading now. If however you are a fun loving person who enjoys all the finer things in life like sex, fighting and taking the piss out of things that irritate you, and you like music influenced by bands ranging from the Pistols to Blink then you are onto a good thing with this album. It has a raw yet strangely catchy feel to it, though some if its lyrics and content will limit its radio play on nice little stations that would prefer Celine Dion and Michael Bolton. This is not an album to be plaid softly, especially while operating heavy machinery, but you will definitely find yourself identifying with some of the lyrics as you find yourself wanting to sing along.

Today by Angelo

We have the pleasure to introduce Angelo Collins who comes from Cape Town. Angelo draws his
inspiration from his surroundings which is echoed in his music with relevant lyrics; essentially, a
commentary of the world around him. He sings with a passion that reflects in his music and dance moves
that are distinctly unique. Angelo is redefining the South African RnB/Hip Hop dance and music scene, by
not trying to emulate the American popular culture of Hip Hop, but by staying true to his roots and keeping
it real, South African style.
