UP THE CREEK FESTIVAL

6 -8 FEBRUARY, BREEDERIVER, NEAR SWELLENDAM

With Blue Moon and Red Hot Events steering Up The Creek 2009, it is destined to be the greatest weekend summer is yet to bestow. The fest returns from 6 – 8 February 2009 to the brimming banks of the Breede River outside Swellendam (about two and a half hours from Cape Town), and already boasts a momentous mix of the finest home-grown buskers and bands: some old favorites, some reincarnated legends from the past, some brand, spanking-new kids on the block and a not so delicate sprinkling of comedians added for good measure.

Bands on the impressive line-up include Prime Circle, Blues Broers, Bed on Bricks, Flat Stanley, Dan Patlansky, Albert Frost, Tidal Waves, The Dirty Skirts,The Rudimentals, Taxi Violence, Boulevard Blues Band, Blues Broers, Wonderboom, Andra , Simon Orange and Akkedis and more.

Up The Creek is a treat, an indulgence, a party, a revelry with old friends, a celebration with new ones; an imbezo of the soul; an imbibe’ation of tunes; old and new. So hurry up and come along – only 2000 tickets will be available for 2009.
