RAM FESTIVAL - 27 FEB - 01 MARCH 2009 NEKKIES HOLIDAY RESORT, WORCESTER, CAPE TOWN:

RAMFEST is constantly aiming to push boundaries in order to produce a thrilling live experience and RAM 2009 promises to be no exception. RAM 2009 will have 3 stages, to cater for all music genre’s from Rock,Indie, Hip Hop and Electronica to Metal.

The line-up is an explosive mix of some of SA`s finest acts. Bands performing on the Main Stage include:

aKing, Lark, The Dirty Skirts, Fokofpolisiekar, Battery 9, Bed on Bricks, Foto na Dans, Van Coke Kartel, Kidofdoom, Taxi Violence, New Holland , Isochronous, Die Antwoord – previously known as Max Normal and many more.

Special Highlights include:

1. Inge Beckmann to join her former bandmembers for a Lark performance.

2. The debut performance of Max Normal`s new futuristic rap rave act ‘Die Antwoord’

3. The 2nd OFFICIAL SOUTH AFRICAN AIR GUITAR CHAMPIONSHIPS* will be held at RAMFEST 2009. Heinie v.d Walt aka LORD WOLMER just returned from Finland’s AIR GUITAR WORLD CHAMPS (watch clip here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMDyQo9Bo1g) after winning the SA AIR GUITAR TITLE at RAM 2008. He will be back in 2009 to defend his title as SA champ.

4.Reunion performance by VOD (Voice of Destruction.) Francois Blom teaming up with his former bandmates.

**2009 Will see an enormous TENTED main bar area, which will double up as the electronic tent at night, thanx to HUNTERS and RED BULL’s stretched event vehicle - DJ station. There will also be a separate HUNTERS freeform tented Lounge area, with couches and tables for the HUNTERS connoisseur.

**The famous ROCK ROOM (Stellenbosch)** .. wil also be there putting up their TENTED restaurant with delicious gourmet burgers and special live performances.

** CAMPING, SWIMMING and BRAAIing** RAM is a full weekend camping excursion, bring your tents caravan’s and camping gear. There is a large Swimming pool and a river, don’t forget your inflatable’s, and other swimming paraphernalia. There are many designated braai areas around the camp site and braai wood will be for sale.

**SHADING by BLAISE** a huge Roof Structure will protect you from the harsh African sun and there will also be multiple shaded areas around the main entertainment area.

** Medics** As always there will be professional medics on site, with all necessary emergency equipment, bring your own headache tablets and please PARTY SAFE!

**GREEN** Environmentally Friendly: If It’s Green …Smoke It! haha Please help to keep us as environmentally friendly as possible. Bring rubbish bags to keep your area clean.Rubbish bags will also be handed to each car arriving. All rubbish bags will be collected by our cleaners and sorted into the relevant recycling bins. Please leave glass at home.
